Exfoliate

The most interesting associations or ideas typically make themselves known to me when taking a shower or while dreaming. This association came while enjoying a nice hot shower!
Excited for Daylight Savings time I decided to anticipate the new time with exfoliating!  My thought was new time schedule might as well start with a good ole exfoliation of the skin! Seemed like a good idea and knew I would feel invigorated and clean! Feeling clean is always a good thing!

As the warm water flowed over my body rinsing the scrub off my body, I marveled at just how smooth and silky my skin felt. The water flowing off the skin just rolled with ease leaving a shimmer shine that felt fresh, nourishing and invigorating.
Then the association hit me like a fire hose pointed at flames to extinguish a raging fire!

Exfoliating removes dead skin cells thus proving the skin a silky smooth surface able to receive oxygen more freely and creates a wonderful glow. So I begin to think about exfoliating and associating this with our hearts and lives.
Each event, each day, each life experience we have experienced leaves behind emotions within us. These emotions can bring happiness, sadness, fear, courage and based on our response to our emotions can put up a layer of defense. A barrier to keep us from getting hurt or perhaps suppress our responses and emotions down so far that they are buried and covered with a layer of invisible film that may be perceived as protection.

So I wondered, do we look inward enough to release all the built up emotions that have accumulated over time that are just sitting within us? These built up layers that deter each of us from living life to the fullest and hinder our desires to move forward and experience all that life has to offer.
Feeling a little clogged, tired or in the holding pattern of life unable to move forward in life?

Time for me now to suggest: Exfoliating our hearts and mind

·         Each morning for the next week take five minutes each to be silent. During this time be gentle with yourself. With each breath think of an “I AM” phrase that begins to exfoliate all that is blocking to open your heart, fill it with love, respect and confidence within you!
I Am loved, I Am Confident, I AM Living, I AM Healthy, I AM full of Energy, I AM beautiful, I AM Forgiveness, I AM Abundant, I AM__________

“ Affirming that I AM exfoliating out the old to awaken and welcome me to all possibilities”cl

LEAP

" Time for me now to leap off the lily pad and experience all that life has to offer"

So this year is Leap Year- and today is Leap Day, the 29Th of February!  Since this occurs only every four years thought it would be fun to explore the traditions and the myths surrounding this date.
Single? Well, today is suggested to be the day to ask that someone special or as one friend recently said, I’ll just go out and find a really good looking guy driving a really nice car, with an attitude and ask him to marry me!.  Yikes!!! Really?

I was stunned as this is not like her, thinking my friend has gone bonkers! Then she told me this:
She had read that in some areas of the world if a woman proposed to a man, and he refused, he would have to buy her clothing. So her thinking was OK, I am single what is the downside risk of No? Laughing I asked her did it ever occur to you that men are not familiar with this so called tradition? Didn’t seem to bother her! Her quick wit is so appreciated, as in her response back to me.

“Ok so really using today to practice my skills of walking up to a strange man and introducing myself”.  Putting me out there and taking risks is part of my 2012 self development program. Today I feel more confident as in the back of my mind I feel it is more acceptable today!

The Risk of Going after what we want and the Reward of Accomplishment!
A mental safety net, at least in her mind, to take a Leap and take a risk!
So what are you leaping for today and for 2012?  Given we have an extra day prior to entering the third month in the first quarter a good time to assess how are leaping is going.

·         Are we leaping toward our dreams, goals, visions, projects, life?
·         Perhaps we have been sitting on a lily pad too long either waiting on “something” or fear of leaping to new adventures.
Take a moment today for riveting your dreams and goals and think about:

·         The accomplishments and progress of the past two months – Celebrate!
·         Secure and reevaluate all that you want to accomplish in 2012 through taking Action
·         Fasten your belief securely within that “You are Powerful and Can Do it
·         Pull the strength up from within and jump off that Lily Pad and “Take Control of You”
Time for me now to wish you a great adventure leaping to all the you desire and remind you of something my mentor Denise Linn always says: “Who you are is enough”…….

Time For Me Now Inspiration - Inspiration

"My Inspiration"

My Inspiration was to create a place for others who were looking for something to change
perspective or to seek simple ways to incorporate a change, one word at a time.

My inspiration for using one word came through a technique called Dream Incubation. The inspiration would enable me to utilize my years of coaching, education, research and experiences to support others.

I am so grateful for Time For Me Now.... as everyone gets to a point where it is "Time for ......"

A powerful emotion, life changing experience, story, word or event that is a motive for change, new direction and expands creativity .
Inspiration puts that “fire in the belly” which results in new ideas as well as looking at the world, your life in a different way.
Inspiration brings to us new stories, a new book, art, movies, music, and dance. Inspiration can also bring us a new set of eyes to view the world, relationships, nature and evoking emotion to want to take ACTION!
Inspiration stimulates ideas, it can revitalize us and it can enrich our lives to live the life desired!
That feeling where you feel you could run up a mountain and overlook the world believing that “All is possible”
Samples of experiencing “Inspiration” include:
*      A softness of  the heart to possibilities where once was “can’t happen for me”
*      Messages that bring us tears, where tears never fell before
*      Dreams
*      A person overcomes a physical obstacle; motivation to take action to achieve
*      Where once was believed to be a challenge; is visualized as being accomplished
*      Exposure to less fortunate and desire to take action to make a contribution to impact others.
*      The desire to live a life of gratitude and appreciation

Inspiration has served each of us individually during different cycles of our lives. Inspiration has also served mankind in various segments of time.

Walt Disney, Mother Theresa, Michelangelo, Denise Linn, Albert Einstein, Steven Jobs, Martin Luther King Jr, Dr. Wayne Dyer are some examples of individuals who have inspired many as well as generations.

Inspiration can be heard through listening to your heart, what is your heart saying to get excited about?

Affirmation: Inspiration comes to me each day to live life full out!

Dream, Believe Again and Achieve all that you desire in Life!
