A Sun Shiny Day in the "Oasis"

Sitting in the back yard after a long day, decompressing from activities and events, I began to smile.

Having a space that is soothing, relaxing and easy on the eyes is important to rejuvenate and recharge. My backyard is just that place for me. Flower beds to the right and left with trees on the back fence.
A bird feeder being constantly visited by cardinals and a bird bath for their enjoyment. The seating area is setup for great conversations and enjoying the flowering of the plants in the yard as well as all around the seating area. The sound of flowing water from the fountain is both visually appealing and mentally relaxing. Listening to the water flowing is soothing and invites anyone in the area to just take a deep breath and enjoy!

Today I sat in a different seat and saw things from a different perspective. The blue sky with just the right amount of clouds floating by and the American Flag swaying in the gentle breeze. Perfect timing as tomorrow the US celebrates the 4th of July!

All the days activities and stress released got to thinking just how profound changing one small routine got my mental wheels in motion.

Creatures of habit most of us are, routine and staying in comfort zone is what most of us all do best.

Something as simple as changing a seat on the back patio can shift both experience and comfort.

What small gesture can you do to mix up a routine?
When a small change has been made what did you observe?
Taking small steps of change would you be open to doing this once a week, once a day ?
(ex: go left instead of right; use the right burner instead of left; let someone else drive and be in control; make the call instead of waiting )

All great accomplishments start with simple adjustments and taking one step at a time, it's a process.

The celebration of the 4th of July is a reminder to all that we are free to choose the life we wish to live.
Allow your inner strength, your inner beauty along with all the experience in life to allow for reaching for the sky - reaching for those dreams!

Find a place that is your "Oasis" and enjoy the simplistic rejuvenation of all that is important:

 "You"

Meander

Interesting how words come in and out of our lives. Meander, hadn’t seen or heard that word for years until recently. As a little girl my mom would say “stop meandering and get moving”.  So I would step it up and run to catch up with her, never really asking the true meaning of what she meant. I just thought she wanted me to catch up with her, figured I was just moving too slow!
Actually I was taking the path of least resistance and exploring. Typically my Meandering was when we were out in shopping plazas, attempting to go around the adults that stopped in front of me or winding through the different entrances to the shops to quickly check out what was in the store and coming out a different doorway. To me, it was all perfect, fun and I got where I needed to be in about the same time as walking along with the crowd.
Recently on a walk by the river began to think about the contour of the path the river was flowing, the ease of which the water flowed up and over the rocks, around boulders in the way of flow, curving around the bank.  I stood for quite awhile just observing, listening to the soothing sounds of the water and getting into the rhythm of the flow. I enjoyed, being present in the moment, listening, observing and thinking about the ebbs and flow of life.  Wondering if we meandered more in our life how more freeing, how much smoother life could be to then allow us to be more present in the moment and enjoy family, life and others.
Rivers meander, as they flow along where there is least resistance; soft dirt is much easier to cut through than boulders or hard rock. When a river tends to meander it is a time to slow down.
So I took time for me to reflect on Meandering, Rivers and Life, I asked the question:
“What can I learn?”
Time for me now to share:
*      Each day lessons to be learned on life from nature when we are present in the moment.
*      Challenges? Obstacles? Not attaining a goal?
*      Stop and assess actions or situation
*      Continued resistance?  perhaps meander and find a different route to your goal
*      Each River has a distinct and different path but always ends up down stream
§  Why not try new ways, different techniques or collaborate with others
§  Flow with events versus struggling to push; when running up against opposition or a huge boulder in  your part, go around and forge a new plan.
Why? Perhaps new learning’s, new experiences, and new results!  Interesting!
Remember all the possibilities of the people that will cross over your part of the new river flow that could have an impact on you, your life and opportunities for you!

Perhaps a little meandering is needed to create the beautiful life and dream that you desire….
Time for me now to wish you tons of fun, laughter and joy while learning to meander!

Time For Me Now Inspiration- Steady Progress

Spring has officially arrived! So how is the clearing out and focusing on Self Discovery going? Set any goals?

Steady progress or do you find the desire is within you but just seem to hit a road block?

Don't get discouraged!!

ALL of us start with good intentions, a plan and the desire to make changes in our lives. Whether personal goals and transitioning into the life desired or business goals. ALL of us have the ability to get off track. Life happens!

Good News: Focus on Now, Today and begin to move with steady progress!

Sports is a good analogy of Steady Progress... let's take football.  During kick-off, it is seldom that the receiver takes the ball all the way down 99 yards for a touchdown. Yes it does happen.
What typically  happens? The ball is received and steady progress to gain yardage is the objective to reach the goal of a touchdownl! During the process of reaching the goal of achievement the ball is turned over but that doesn't mean that steady progress, focus and desire is gone. On the contrary the focus becomes more prominent.

Yes, there may be times when "going out of bounds" keeps us from our progress. There are many reasons for "going out of bounds" and getting off track. That is OK!

Don't look back- begin today and start fresh to self discovery, your goals or what your soul/heart desire is to achieve in your life.

Here are some Inspirational thoughts:
  • Do not be discouraged if results are not fully achieved right now.
  • The goals or Self Discovery process will happen when the time is right- stay focused
  • Have patience and love for yourself
  • Learn to enjoy each day and the progress that you have been achieving
  • Stay aware each day as there are many gifts that can be received to support us in our progress
  • Breath, Enjoy each day, Laugh, Let Go and remember to write down the progress

Affirmation:
I move toward living the life that I desire through steady progress knowing I will complete all that I desire.

Time for Me Now to commend each of you for desiring living a life that "you want to live"....

I look forward to connecting with you soon!

Time For Me Now Inspiration - Cleanse

Cleansing may have many definitions specific to each individual:
Personal hygiene, internal cleanse or expelling impurities.  Cleanse can be physical, mental or even spiritual. Cleansing also could mean clearing space.
For this purpose, Cleanse means to assess personal and social responsibilities, assess the people in your life, activities, observing your space and my most importantly your thoughts.
Circumstances may not be able to be changed so easily; we can certainly control our response!
Overextended?
I know I am at times; there is something so difficult in saying a two letter word:
“NO”…
After awhile, our responsibilities pile up, our frustration grows, what was once fun
and exciting becomes a chore, unfulfilling while adding stress into our lives.
So what do we do? How do we shift direction? Is it Possible?
YES!!!!
Anything is possible- if you believe it can and you take action!
Begin by assessing what brings you joy, happiness, fulfillment.  Do more!
Are there activities that can be delegated?  Experiencing Commitment overload?
Perhaps shift the perspective on the commitments and people in your life:
Who may I meet, what is possible to learn, what opportunities may appear; be excited !
If  no longer excited, perhaps it is time to consider a change!
Change is good and brings new experiences, people and opportunities.
Release, Breath and begin to fill your life with all that is good for you.
Visualize a waterfall cascading down to a lower pool, close your eyes and imagine being at the base of the fall, water rushing over you, removing all that is a burden or that is no longer working for you.  Breathe and find that scared space within you to allow your thoughts to release all that is not serving a purpose any longer.  Breathe and take in the air and feel the mist hitting your face reminding you that you are alive!
… When the cleansing is over, open your eyes! What a beautiful rainbow! A rainbow of hope, magnificent beauty and all the possibilities for you…..
Ah, the Majesty of releasing and cleansing what no longer belongs…..
Remember to be good to yourself, you don’t have to do it all yourself, Enjoy your life!
Do more and bring more of all the good you enjoy into your life!    You are so deserving!

Time For Me Now Inspiration- Full Moon Flow

Full Moon ~ All the Possibilities!

Friday was the second Full Moon for 2011, with this new cycle a great time to Celebrate!.

The Full Moon is a time for excitement perhaps even celebration!.... Each lunar cycle is a time for renewal. Each cycle of the moon has four smaller cycles lasting approximately seven days.

Example: Full Moon Celebration is exciting for me, as I look forward to all the possibilities from the intentions and seeds planted; more importantly I use this time to give gratitude and appreciation for people in my life and for all the blessings!

The New Moon, Waxing Moon, Full Moon and Waning Moon.

Timing of these cycles? Though best scientific practices can approximate the timing of the cycles, the cycles tend to  "Flow" from one cycle to another.

Waning Moon is a great time to take a deep breath, breath in life and exhale all that is no longer working for you. Great time to clear out clutter of your life; a time for assessing the past several weeks/months and deciding what is working for you what isn't.

Mediate on your hearts desire, perhaps changes in your life/activities or specific seeds/thoughts that were planted for future growth and development.

Just as a gardener plants seeds for Spring/Summer blooming, the New Moon is a great time to plant seeds for which to expand our lives!  The Full Moon is a time of celebration- of the seeds planted and now blooming full of energy and possibilities.

Seeds planted as we flow into the next moon cycle of Waxing Moon, this is where you take your intention (planted seed) and begin to bring to life what you most desire and what is best for you!

The Full Moon is an  excellent time to incorporate techniques for your Dreams! During this time my students/clients experience more recollection of dreams. So if you are one that believes you do not remember your dreams this is an excellent time to recall. Suggestion: Keep a notebook and pen on your nightstand!

Upcoming Moon Schedule:
February 19: Waning Moon begins
March 4: New Moon     March 12: Waxing Moon     March 19: Full Moon       March 26: Waning Moon

" I anxiously anticipate recalling my dreams for what messages lie within me"..... CL
